My favourite Perfume

I was thinking recently about what my favourite perfume was and although It took me a while to think about it, when I remembered I was shocked that I had ever forgotten this one. Gwen Stefani's Lamb has to be my all time favourite. Its a bit sweet but not too overpowering, fresh, summery and flowerly. I really believe that this will always be my staple scent because its wearable and perfect for all occasions and seasons..... ahh thinking about it makes me happy... I'm off to spray some more :) !!

Natural Collection Lipstick

On the recommendation from Dazzledust25 (http://www.makeupandbeauty.ie/) I bought the natural collection moisture shine lipstick in Apple Blossom. I have very mixed views on it.

Left to Right: the lipstick/ lipstick only/ with benefit 'her glossiness didn't hear it from me'

I really want to love it because at £1.99 its the perfect price but I'm gonna be honest I wasn't blown away. The lipstick was creamy and moisturizing and I really liked that, the colour too was nice as I like nudes with a pink undertone. It lasted fairly well for a moisture lipstick however, the colour rolled and smudged easily it just moved my lips so I was constantly having to sort it out. For that reason, it was quite high maintenance. I like that its not chalky either as I find a lot of nude lipsticks look powdery on your lips.
Overall, I can't really decide If I like it because of the high maintenance and smudginess, I think I'll buy a few other colours and see if I like them more- definately a bargin though!!!

Natural Collection Vanilla Body Scrub

Many body scrubs are fairly expensive so I decided to give the natural collection version a chance. I was pleasantly surprised, it has a lovely vanilla smell that isn't too overpowering and leaves you skin soft and clean. I think its prefect for its price of £3.10 and its worth it- I've tried more expensive ones and this does the job easily as well. I think there is a good chance that I will be buying other natural collection bath product as this one is a real winner- great to get the perfect summer bod!!!

glamour magazine benefit make-up

I thought I would review and share my experiences with the three, free benefit pencils in this months Glamour.
Bad Gal eyeliner

I get it sent to me each month so I was excited when a full-size Bad Gal eyeliner fell through my letter box. I've tred it a couple of times and to be honest if I didnt get it for free it would definately NOT be worth the £12 or whatever it is priced at. Obviously, its packaing is attractive but I find the eyeliner not particularily easy to use because of its size, similarily the colour isn't actually very Black and so I may use it as it's free, but to be honest I wouldn't buy it- I'm sticking to clinique!!

Eye-Bright

I then went on the search for the other two glamour items, eventually after about 4 shops I managed to find Eye- Bright. It is supposed to make you look more awake if you draw a line on your waterline, previously I would have used my trusty white rimmel pencil for this and I have never needed anything else for the job. I really like the product, its slightly more natural than a block white line and it definately opens up your eye and makes it awake- maybe not worth however much it is (around £12) but it is a product I happy to have!!

The It-stick

I am a massive fan of benefit boi-ing it is one of the best- I have the palest shade which is prefect to waken up you eyes but unfortunately I am running out :( Therefore I was MORE than happy to try another Benefit concealer and I was fairly impressed with the results, it's easy to apply and lasts quite long. I've heard some bad things about it although in my opinion it is a perfectly good product which you would expect from benefit!!

Maybe not my favourite products but of course I couldn't let this £6 opportunity pass me by!!

Make-up Academy eye dusts

In all my superdrug internet searching (I have an extensive 'products to buy list') I came across this brand. Needless to say always searching for the perfect affordable brand I could not resist a brand where everything was £1- no you did not mishear me! So I went to superdrug (It's not available everywhere) and bought two eye dusts in shade 4 and 5. They were quite similar colours, somewhat sparkly (as you would expect from an eye dust), almost irridesent dark colours, one is more red and the other more green. I was pleasantly surprised with the result- highly pigmented easy to build or just a light dusting- as good as Barry M and for 1/3 of the price...
I will definately be purchasing more from their brand in the future....

Staple Cream- E45

E45 cream is one of my staple products. I have fairly dry skin and so often I use E45 overnight. Its too heavy for the day and does give you a pale face, but use it at night and voila! soft skin ready for the morning. It doesn't clog pores, is good for dry or sensitive skin, fairly cheap and is fragrance free- A real winner!! (£3.35)

Loves

Katy perry ft. snoop dogg- California gurls
Ahh the sounds of summer haha. I love this song its upbeat and fresh as well as being a perfctly summery tune. I love the video too, its completely dripping with sugar!!!

Workout DVD's
I never though I would have excersise in my love section. The thought of sweating like a pig and feeling like your legs are going to drop off never strangely did it for me before, however the call of the summer has suddenly made me feel the pressure and so, after reading good reviews, I amazingly bought an excersise video- even more amazingly I've actually been doing it. It's the ministry of sound pump it up DVD and I'm loving the dance mixed in with what seems like hundreds of lunges. Over the last two weeks I've done it about 5 days a week and the results have been impressive, all in the privacy of your own home- so no more excuses! I bought it for £6.99 of Amazon (2004 version).
Summer
At last the snowy beginning of 2K10 has left us and the sun has arrived. It has been hot nearly every day this week and I have at last thrown in my jeans in favour for a skirt or shorts. I can tell this summer is going to be good even if there seems to be an inevitable hose pipe ban.

Collection 2000 hot looks nail polish in button moon and Dynasty
After hearing good things about this nail polish I decided to go an purchase a few, well 5 to be specific. At the moment I have only tried button moon(pastle blue) and dynasty(pastel pink/purple) altough I also have hula hoop (barbie pink), fruit salad (coral/red/pink shade) and show off (mermaid blue.) I am loving the colours and the actual nail polish as it is fairly easy to apply and fast drying. At £1.79 a pop they are definately worth it- at the moment in boots AND suerdrug if you spend more that £4 on collection 2000 you get a free lipgloss, I shamefully have three!!!!

button moon Dynasty

Maybelline XXL Intense Mascara
For a long time the mascara I couldnt live without was this one. So much so, it ran out so fast and due to my tiny budget I couldn't splash out, the longer it took I soon forgot and started using others. Yesterday going through my stash I found the old tube, istead of throwing it out, I used the tiniest lst remaining bit left and oh my god.. how could I carry on without it?!?! It was just as I remembered, long and voluminous lashes in seconds! At £8.99 It isn't cheap but its not really expensive- I plan on stocking up this weekend

Hates
Big brushed mascara's!!!
In keeping with Mascara's, I realised a few days ago that the worse type of mascara in the world are those with fat brushes. In order to get my free collection 2000 lipgloss- I know tragic- I decided that as I needed a new mascara I might as well get a collection 2000 one, I chose volume sensation. The wierd thing is I knew there was something wrong spending £5 on a collection 2000 mascara- it seemed oh so wrong, anyway I brough it home and firstly it wasn't that good, and just like every other big brushed mascara from benefit bad gal to this are completely the same. They smudge everywhere, you cant get to all the lashes - the corners? Just forget it.

I want my £5 back!

Soap and Glory Hand Food

Well, all I can say is it does what is says, its completely non-greasy and hydrating. So much so that in my laziness and finding it next to my bed (just before I went to sleep) having forgot other cream, I used it on my face several times!! I know not exactly what its for but the results I have to say were impressive. Just like my hands, whenever I use it my dry skin is rehydrated and feels fresh and not greasy or oily!
I would definately recommend this, it's only £2.25 for a small packet and £4.50 for the 125 ml (I have this one) and I love the product and the packaging!

clinique cream shaper for eyes

One of my first expensive buys, (well, my grandma got it for me for christmas ;)) was the clinique cream shaper for eyes. Since having this eye liner buying a new one, including my other favourite clinique eyeliner (quickliner for eye), seems rather pointless. It has the slightest shimmer in which is great to brighten up your eyes, but DOESN'T I assure you, make you look like your wearing a five year olds eyeliner hehe.

Its only £13 (more than I would usually spend on an eyeliner but its speeecial) and worth every last penny!!! Its easy to use and creamy- it just glides on!! Ahhhh thinking about it makes me want to buy more!!! Currently I only have mink, cocoa shimmer and chocolate lustre (I had another but lost it :( ). Anyway although i cant seem to find some of my colours online, I can guarantee you that ANY colour would be amazing- Its so worth it!!
